Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains the use of cookies and similar technologies on the website www.penalempresarial.com (the “Website”), owned by Alberto Vidal Castañón, lawyer (abogado). V&V Intervención Legal is the trade name of Alberto Vidal Castañón, a lawyer registered under no. 138.391 with the Ilustre Colegio de la Abogacía de Madrid (Madrid Bar).

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small files that a website stores in the user’s browser or device and that allow information to be retrieved on subsequent visits. The term also covers similar technologies for storing and accessing information on the user’s device, such as the browser’s local storage (localStorage).

Under Article 22.2 of Spanish Law 34/2002 on Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce (LSSI), their use requires the user’s informed consent, unless they are strictly necessary to provide a service expressly requested by the user or to carry out the transmission of a communication over an electronic communications network.

2. Cookies used on this Website

The Website uses two types of cookies and storage mechanisms:

a) Technical or strictly necessary. These are exempt from consent under Article 22.2 LSSI. They are first-party items stored in your browser’s local storage (localStorage); they do not identify you and are not shared with third parties:

Name Owner Purpose Duration
vv-lang First party Remember the language chosen (Spanish or English) Until the user deletes it
vv-consent First party Store your choice on analytics cookies, so that you are not asked again on every visit Until the user deletes it

b) Analytics. These allow us to know, statistically, how many people visit the Website, which pages they view and where they come from, in order to improve its content. They are only set if you accept them in the notice shown on your first visit. The Website uses Google Analytics 4, a service provided by Google Ireland Limited, configured without advertising features:

Name Owner Purpose Duration
_ga Google (third party) Distinguish users statistically 2 years
_ga_6N34C6T12T Google (third party) Maintain the analytics session state 2 years

The Website does not use advertising cookies, personalisation or commercial tracking cookies, and does not profile users.

Google may process these data in the United States. That transfer is based on Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2023/1795 on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, to which Google LLC has self-certified. More information in Google’s privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

3. How to accept, reject or withdraw consent

On your first visit, a notice lets you accept or reject analytics cookies with equal ease. They are not set unless you accept them. You can change your choice at any time through the “Cookie settings” link at the foot of every page.

4. How to manage or delete cookies

You can allow, block or delete cookies stored on your device through your browser settings. Instructions are available on the help pages of the main browsers:

  • Google Chrome: https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/95647
  • Mozilla Firefox: https://support.mozilla.org/en-GB/kb/enhanced-tracking-protection-firefox-desktop
  • Safari: https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/safari/sfri11471/mac
  • Microsoft Edge: https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/microsoft-edge

If you block technical cookies, some features of the Website (for example, remembering your preferences) may not work properly.

5. Further information

If you have any questions about this Policy, please write to info@penalempresarial.com. The processing of personal data is governed by the Privacy Policy.

This Policy will be updated if the cookies used on the Website change.

In the event of any discrepancy between the language versions, the Spanish version shall prevail.
