These terms govern the first contact by WhatsApp and the legal consultation with V&V Intervención Legal, the trading name of Alberto Vidal Castañón, lawyer registered with the Madrid Bar (Ilustre Colegio de la Abogacía de Madrid) under no. 138.391, with offices at Avda. de Ramón y Cajal, 7, 28016 Madrid.
Free first contact
Send us a WhatsApp message at +34 624 33 44 10 with a short outline of your situation. We will reply as soon as possible, Monday to Thursday from 10:00 to 20:00 and on Fridays from 10:00 to 14:00 (Spanish time), letting you know whether your matter falls within our field of practice.
This first reply is free of charge: it is not legal advice and does not create a lawyer–client relationship. Its only purpose is to assess whether your problem is a criminal law matter that fits our professional policy, and to rule out conflicts of interest. Please do not send any documents unless we ask for them. Some organisational messages (confirmations, reminders) are automated and are marked as such; the decision whether to take on a matter is always made by the lawyer.
Online or in-person consultation
If we can take on the matter, we will offer you a video consultation or an appointment at our office (Avda. Ramón y Cajal 7, Madrid) with Alberto Vidal Castañón, lawyer of the Madrid Bar no. 138.391, who would handle the case. We will review your situation and explain your options. You choose the day and time in our calendar; except in urgent cases, the appointment is at least 72 hours after the booking. When we confirm it, we will tell you how to send us any documents you have.
Fee
€250, VAT included. Payment is always made before the appointment, by Bizum. Once we receive it, we will send you a booking receipt and the invoice. If you are a business or a self-employed professional in Spain, the invoice will include the 15% personal income tax (IRPF) withholding, so you will pay €219.01 (base €206.61 + VAT €43.39 − withholding €30.99).
Postponement and cancellation
You may postpone the appointment once free of charge, or cancel it with a full refund, by giving at least 24 hours’ notice. The refund is made to the same Bizum number you paid from, within 5 working days at most. If you cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice or do not attend, no refund is made, without prejudice to consumers’ right of withdrawal. If we cancel, you may choose a new date or a full refund.
Right of withdrawal (consumers)
If you contract as a consumer, you have 14 calendar days from the contract to withdraw without giving any reason, with a full refund; simply tell us so on the same WhatsApp chat, by any unequivocal statement or using the model withdrawal form in Annex B to that law, which we will send you with the booking confirmation. If you ask for the consultation to take place within that period, you will lose the right of withdrawal once the service has been fully provided (art. 103(a) of the consolidated text of the Spanish General Law for the Protection of Consumers and Users). We will ask you for this expressly in the booking form.
Credited if you instruct us
If you instruct us on the matter within 60 days after the consultation, the €250 is deducted from our fees, which will be set out in the letter of engagement.
Recording
We only record the consultation if you expressly authorise it, with notice at the start. The recording is covered by legal professional privilege.
